At a young age Kelly knew she wanted to work with animals so she obtained first job as a stable hand and has been working in the veterinary field since 2017. In 2018, Kelly graduated from SUNY Delhi with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and since then worked as a veterinary technician. She loves working with her teammates to provide the best patient care possible. Kelly has a great sense of humor and likes to make people laugh. She has two dogs named Aleu, a Husky, cattle dog mix, and Dee, an American Bully pitty mix. In her free time she enjoys practicing yoga, reading, painting and enjoying the outdoors.

Camryn graduated from Medaille College in 2020 with an Associates and Bachelors degree in Veterinary technology. She began her career working at Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center as an assistant and eventually transitioned to a Veterinary Technician. Camryn loves getting to know every patient and seeing them grow. She currently resides in Webster with her husband Cameron and son Colton along with her Border Collie mix, Milo and cat, Paisley. When not at work Camryn loves spending time outdoors with her family.

Cheyenne wandered around after high school not really knowing what she wanted to do in life. She tried many jobs in many different industries, attended college, but she still wasn’t sure what career path she wanted to take. Cheyenne accepted a job at a boarding kennel and at that moment everything fell into place.  She’s always loved animals but never realized there were so many different job opportunities in that field. After leaving the kennel she knew exactly what it was that she wanted to do, become a veterinary technician, which she is currently working towards. Cheyenne has three dogs at home that are her very best friends, her brothers, and they allow her the opportunity to put into practice everything she is learning.  She is super excited to have joined the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team and to have the opportunity to work with so many great people. Cheyenne loves all that she has learned and can’t wait to learn more while giving the best experience to the clients she possibly can.

Dr. Willardson grew up right around the corner from MVAH.  Her family brought their pets here when she was a kid!

Dr. Willardson attended Nazareth College of Rochester and graduated with a biology degree.  She then went on to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2006.  For several years she worked on performance horses before focusing exclusively on dogs and cats.  She is truly passionate about providing compassionate, quality care for animals to improve the human-animal bond. She currently lives in Farmington with her fiancé, her son, and her soon-to-be step children. Her personal hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and traveling.

Dr. Samantha Tandle spent her childhood in Waterloo and Seneca Falls, NY.  She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since before she could even pronounce the word, proudly announcing that she wanted to be a “veteran” when she grew up to anyone who asked.  Her passion for animals, people, and medicine have always been an integral driving force that has shaped the course of her entire life since toddlerhood.  As she grew up, Dr. Tandle took advantage of every opportunity she could to get closer to her dream, including reading every book about animals she could find, owning every type of pet that her parents would allow, caring for her college’s canary colony, assisting in veterinary hospitals, pet sitting, mucking horse stalls, and even milking cows.

Dr. Tandle received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY in 2010.  Instead of proceeding straight to vet school, she moved to Webster and worked for Xerox in one of their toner plants for two years, where she met her life partner and first became enamored with the Rochester area.  She went on to receive her DVM at Cornell University in 2016.  Dr. Tandle has been practicing in the Rochester area ever since and has experience in general practice, urgent care, and emergency medicine.  She is happy to report that the job is still as fun and fulfilling for her today as it was on day one.   Dr. Tandle is very excited to be joining Mendon Village Animal Hospital and cannot wait to start meeting patients and their families, because it’s the relationships she has formed over the past five years that have made this career far surpass anything she dreamed of as a girl.

Dr. Tandle lives in Webster, NY with her fiancé, their four young children, three cats, one husky, one bearded dragon, and lots of fish.

Kayleigh has known she has wanted to work with animals since a very young age. In elementary school, when asked what her dream career would be, she said a Veterinarian! Kayleigh grew up with five cats in the household and loved learning about everything cat related! She volunteered at local shelters and got a job at a local pet store right after high school. She immediately fell in love with veterinary medicine and knew it was the career for her. She started her degree at Monroe Community College in 2012. She then transferred to Medaille College in Buffalo, where she graduated in 2016 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. Kayleigh decided she didn’t need to pursue Vet school after graduating. Being a veterinary technician would fulfill her love for animals and educating clients. Kayleigh has a passion for all pets, no matter the shape or size! She has worked in general practice, as well as emergency and urgent care. She has a special love for working with exotic pets as well! In her free time, Kayleigh is the proud parent of 2 black cats: Gus and Rose and 3 rabbits: Edward, Earl Grey and Oolong.

When not working, Kayleigh enjoys adventuring outdoors, traveling, and encountering new experiences with her friends and family.

Growing up, Emily always had a strong passion for working with animals. Emily joined our team in August, 2020. She enjoys working at Mendon Village Animal Hospital because of the fast pace work environment,  friendly coworkers, and new people and pets she meets, which makes coming to work fun. She loves being able to serve this community and help put clients at ease when their sick or hurt pets come in. It brings her joy to see clients and pets leaving, feeling better.  Emily lives in Conesus and shares her home with her boyfriend, three stepchildren, two dogs, a cat, and many chickens. In her spare time, Emily enjoys boating, tending to her family farm, and spending time with her friends and family.

From an early age, Adam has always had a fascination with all varieties of small animals. As a child, he would often ask his parents to take him to any nearby pet store, just to see the different dogs, cats, exotic animals, birds, and fish. He would later work at one of those pet stores, which helped fuel his curiosity in small and exotic animal care, before moving to the veterinary field as an Exam Room Attendant at Mendon Village Animal Hospital.
While not at work, Adam likes to spend time baking, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends. He also loves cuddling with his dog Jada, and his two rats Trixie and Katya.

Emma learned from a young age that she wanted to work with animals and always enjoyed science in school. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Zoology from SUNY Oswego. She was so excited to find a job in which she could pursue both of her passions. She enjoys seeing the unique personalities in the pets she gets to work with and treats each pet with kindness and respect as if they are her own. She is able to say that she enjoys coming to work everyday and is truly grateful for the opportunity. She has a Border Collie, a cat, and two ferrets. She enjoys spending time outdoors and baking in her spare time.

Dr. Eddy grew up in Central NY and earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences at Marist College. Wanting to experience a new part of the country, Dr. Eddy then moved to TN where she pursued her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Lincoln Memorial University. After 4 years in the south, she decided to move back closer to family and worked in a general practice/urgent care facility before joining us here at MVAH.

Dr. Eddy has a passion for helping others and making a difference in the lives of her patients and their families. She believes that our pets play a crucial role in our lives and strives to provide them with the highest quality care they can receive. In her spare time, Dr. Eddy loves to be outside hiking, running, playing soccer, and being out on the water. When she is not outside, you can find her spoiling her “nephews” Theodore the Frenchie and Baxter, and her “niece” Sophie.

At the age of 9, Dr. Gluckman was walking home from the bowling alley when a cat decided to follow him home, he ended up taking this kitty in and caring for him his whole life. It was because of this that he decided he would become a veterinarian.  Receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1972 fulfilled that dream.  In December of 1979, after being in practice for 7 years, Dr. Gluckman established Mendon Village Animal Hospital.  He is also the Vice-President and founding member of Pet Pride of New York, a no-kill shelter in Victor, NY.

Dr. Gluckman and his wife Pamela live in Mendon with their three dogs; Beckett, a Standard Poodle, and two Irish Setters named Little Red and Agnes.  He and his wife love spending time at their camp on Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks.  Even after 48 years, Dr. Gluckman is still passionate about being in practice. Caring for geriatric patients and keeping them healthy is his favorite part of veterinary medicine.  As long as Dr. Gluckman is working he will often be heard saying, “I have never worked a day in my life.”

Dr. Allan Reichenstein began college in architecture school at Tulane University, later graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor of science degree in Zoology.  He went on to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and received his DVM degree from Cornell University in 1984.  “Our pets play a vital role in our lives and potentially in our health and well being.  My hope is to help people manage their pet’s health by providing them the care and information they need to make decisions they feel are best for themselves and their pets.”

Dr. Reichenstein lives in Honeoye Falls with his wife Debbie who is a School Psychologist. They have five grown children, four cats, and a dog.

Dr. Cate Mattson grew up in Albany, New York. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. While pursuing her degree, she worked for local veterinary hospitals in Arlington, Virginia and Syracuse, New York, and completed an externship at Lollypop Farm. Before moving to Rochester, she was an associate veterinarian at a small animal practice in Brooklyn, New York. Her professional interests include surgery, feline medicine, and preventative medicine. When she is not working, Dr. Mattson loves to read, crochet, and spend time with her husband and their cats.  

Dawn graduated from Medaille College in 1994 with an Associates degree in Veterinary technology. She began her career working at Clark Animal Care Center in 1994 and in 2001, she joined the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital. Dawn and her husband, John have 3 children and a house full of dogs. She has a mix name Mia, a Shih Tzu named Benny and 2 French Bull Dogs, Marty and Vinny. Dawn loves spending time with her family and taking long walks with her dogs.

Abby chose to go into the veterinary industry because of her pets. She has two dogs named Oreo and Rickie, a cat named Largato, and three guinea pigs named Moose, Horse, and Cory. Whenever one of them got sick, she always tried to research their problems and come up with a diagnosis. From there, her passion for animal medicine blossomed, so she attended a Small Animal Veterinary Course at Cornell over the summer. She just couldn’t get enough of the hands-on work, so she was thrilled when she learned about a job at a local veterinary clinic to further pursue her interests. Each day, she tries to learn something new from the vets/techs and always tries to keep her rooms running smoothly. It never fails to make her smile when she sees a pet come in sick and then walk out with a wagging tail.

Tonya decided to go to school to become a veterinary technician due to her love of animals and desire to help them in any way possible. She graduated from Alfred State College in 2019 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and she also holds a degree in Agricultural Technology. Client education and providing them with a positive experience during their pet’s visit is of the utmost importance to Tonya. She currently resides in Livionia with her boyfriend Dan, Pitbull named Achilles, a cat named Sophie and five rabbits; Houdini, Sable, Victor, Casper and Copper. In her spare time Tonya enjoys reading, hiking with her dog and spending time with her family and friends.

After starting her bachelor’s degree for pediatric nursing, Coalie realized she wanted to combine her love for animals and healthcare so she decided to change paths and focus on the veterinary field. Coalie joined the MVAH family back in 2014 as a veterinary assistant as she was finishing her veterinary technician degree. She then graduated with her A.A.S degree for Veterinary Technology. She enjoyed the atmosphere and passion for animals at Mendon so she chose to stay on as a Veterinary Technician. After several years in general practice, she elected to take an emergency vet tech position at The University of Tennessee Teaching Hospital in their Critical Care Department. She gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, skill and passion for emergency. But when Coalie recently moved back to New York to be with family, she could not imagine coming back to any other practice than Mendon. She currently resides in the area with her fiancé and four fur babies, a whippet/border collie, Bella, and their three cats, Maxwell, Oliver & Cayden. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, cooking Italian food, & watching college football.

Animals have always been Renae’s biggest passion in life. She realized at a young age that her world revolved around them on a daily basis and helping them as much as she could would be her life goal. Renae graduated from Genesee Community College with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology before joining the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team in 2019. Renae enjoys seeing all the different animals come in with their families, noting that the bond between an owner and their pet is unique and beautiful. She shares her home with two cats named Darcy and Kitkat, as well as a Border Collie named Cassy. In Renae’s spare time she enjoys a diverse portfolio of hobbies which include video gaming, going to theatre performances, shopping and snuggling with her animals.

When Erin was younger she knew whatever career she were to pursue it would involve caring for animals.  Erin was grateful for the opportunity to join the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team in 2018 and notes each day working with animals never feels like work.  She enjoys providing excellent customer service, making sure  pet parents leave with all their questions answered and working with the team to create a positive experience for the pets using fear free methods.  Erin gets a great sense of satisfaction working with a team that helps patients to stay healthy or diagnosis and treats to make them happy and healthy again.   Erin shares her home with Jack, a Jack Russell Terrier mix, and two cats, Nora and Owen.  When not at work Erin enjoys hiking, scary movies, baking and cooking.

Lori rejoined Mendon Village Animal Hospital in early 2016 after working in the retail management field for 5 1/2 years. She greatly enjoys the daily interaction with clients and their animals and having the opportunity to constantly be gaining knowledge and skills to pass along. When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. They share their home with Genny, a Shepherd/Akita mix, and two cats, Kirah and Shaelah. In her free time, Lori enjoys genealogy, baking, painting and sewing.

Lori has worked for Mendon Village Animal Hospital since 1999. Because she has had animals her whole life, it seemed most appropriate that her job would also involve taking care of them and helping people who share her love for them. Lori enjoys her work here and finds it very rewarding and interesting. Lori has a horse farm that consumes most of her free time. She enjoys riding her horses and taking care of them. She also has two dogs, Dylan and Jessie, a feral barn cat, and a goat.

Jen knew at a young age that she would work with animals which became a reality in 2014 when Jen joined the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team. She enjoys helping clients and their pets in any way she can with a special love of spending time helping a special pet in need. Jen’s family includes her husband and two children, they also have four dogs, one cat, and a rabbit. When not at work Jen enjoys spending time with her family and friends camping, four wheeling, canoeing, fishing, and barbequing.

Emilee knew from a young age she was going to dedicate her life to helping animals, growing up with pets since she born. With a background in wildlife health and ecology, living in South Africa helping wildlife veterinarians, and having worked at several animal hospitals and in emergency care for the past 11 years, she decided to go back to school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team at MVAH where she continues to grow and learn new skills while helping to take care of others’ beloved furry family members. Emilee lives with her four cats, Nugget, Tater Tot, Princess Peppermint, and Cannoli. She enjoys spending time renovating her old house and spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and kayaking.

Chaz knew growing up she wanted to work with children or animals. When the opportunity presented itself in 2011 to join the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team she happily accepted. She began her career at MVAH working as a receptionist and as years passed she found herself wanting to work more closely with the animals. She moved into the role of Exam Room Assistant and progressed into the role of Patient Care Advocate, working closely with the team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians to care for surgical patients. Chaz shares her home with her boyfriend Tommy and their Pitbull named Layla. When not at work Chaz most enjoys spending time outdoors.

Megan’s love for animals began at a very young age, growing up with many dogs and cats (as well as a few salt water fish and other exotic animals). After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Oswego, Megan’s compassion for animals guided her to go back to school and pursue her dream of becoming a veterinary technician. She graduated from Medaille College where she received her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology, and joined the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team in the beginning of 2017. Megan truly loves seeing the bond between an owner and their pet, and strives to improve and strengthen that bond by providing the best care possible. Megan grew up in the Chili area, and currently resides in Brighton with her soon-to-be husband Jeff and their 2 little papillons, Poco and Reba, and 3 cats named Kitty, Tino, and Wilson. When she is not busy working Megan enjoys taking her dogs on fun adventures, going to concerts, traveling, watching the Buffalo Bills, and spending time with family and friends.

Maureen, also known as Mo, wanted to be a pet shop owner at a very young age because she wanted to be around animals. She then learned as she aged she could medically help animals and wanted to pursue veterinary medicine.

She started veterinary technician school with the mindset of continuing on to veterinary school, but soon discovered after starting working as a veterinary technician she was very satisfied with all the ways technicians could help animals alongside the veterinarians. Maureen lives with her husband Paul, their newborn Mila, and her twin stepsons Alaric and Gavin. They have many fur-children…4 mixed breed dogs; Dixon, Sasha, Tikaani, and Svedka; a longhair chihuahua named Darby, and 3 cats named Celia, Kitch, Hiro. When not helping animals at the clinic or spending time with her own fur babies, she is spending time with her kids, traveling to obstacle course races, and riding her motorcycle.

After earning her bachelors degree in Physical Education Jennifer decided her true love was animals and turned right around to chase her dream. She graduated from Medaille College with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2006. She started her career at a small animal/referral hospital in Buffalo NY, joining the Mendon Village Animal Hospital team in 2010. Jennifer loves the variety of working at a small animal hospital and looks forward to seeing what each day has to offer. Outside of work Jennifer spends the majority of her time caring for her busy household that includes her human family, a dog, two cats and a yard full of chickens.

Jeni knew she wanted to work with animals from a very young age. She graduated from Alfred State College in 2006 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been part of the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital since 2011. Of all the roles she fills as a veterinary technician, the role of caregiver is Jeni’s favorite. She makes it a priority to help every dog and cat she works with feel as comfortable and loved as possible. When not at work Jeni enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They share their home with a hound mix named Sadie and two cats, Charlie and Bella.

DJ decided midway through her associate’s program in Veterinary Technology to further her education and in turn received her bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College in 2006. She then joined the Mendon Village Animal Hospital family in 2007 as a Veterinary Technician. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, nutrition and animal behavior. DJ shares her home with her husband, her son, and two cats named Bean and Piper, along with a dog named Harper. When not at work DJ enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Dianne’s love for animals comes from growing up on a small dairy farm outside of Dansville, NY, which made her decision to work with animals an easy one. Dianne graduated from Alfred State College in 2008 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology, from there she began her career at Mendon Village Animal Hospital. As a veterinary technician Dianne has many roles to fill on a daily basis, although all are important the one she loves the most is assisting with surgery. Her goal each day is to make every animal feels comfortable, loved and safe while they are away from home. Dianne shares her home with her husband Nick and their two sons, Lawson and Landon. They also have three cats, Yeller, Ellie, and Rodney.

Ariel spent her childhood adoring animals. Visiting the local zoo and spending time with her pets were her favorite things to do. She has always held a special place in her heart for cats. Ariel didn’t have a set plan of being a veterinarian when she grew up but she when learned what a veterinary technician did she decided that was what she really wanted to do. She graduated from Alfred State College with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2007 and has worked in several general practices as a small animal Veterinary Technician. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 5 cats: Willy, Mr. Todd, Bella, Hamilton, and Gatsby.

When Amy was growing up her family was not allowed to have animals, so during her senior year of high school while in a meeting with her guidance counselor she decided to become a veterinary technician. Amy graduated from Medaille College in 1996 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She began her career in the Rochester area working in an emergency clinic and also with a veterinary dermatologist before joining Mendon Village Animal Hospital in April of 2000. While working as a Veterinary Technician Amy has found that she enjoys working in the areas of surgery, radiology, and dentistry as well as training new technicians and interacting with clients and their pets. Amy shares her home with her husband, two sons, and her two dogs named LunaBell and Kane. In her spare time she enjoys camping, watching her sons play sports and spending time with family and friends.

Kelly vividly recalls the moment when she first fell in love animals. When she was 4 years old, she got a long haired calico cat which she named Angel Baby. From that moment on, whenever anyone asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would say “a Vet”. Kelly’s love for all animals grew over the years, but cats remained her favorite. Kelly knew she wanted to work with animals so she volunteered in high school at a local animal hospital. It was a natural decision to go to college for Veterinary Technology at SUNY Canton. Kelly joined the team at Mendon Village Animal Hospital in 2004 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. When she was presented with the opportunity to become the Practice Manager with Amy. Kelly accepted the position and has expanded her knowledge in Human Resources. She is happy to come to work each and every day in the field that she loves and to be part of a team that delivers high quality medicine and compassion to its clients and patients. Outside of work, Kelly is a mom to 2 amazing daughters. They enjoy taking road trips, going to the movies and listening to music. They share their home with a lovable Pitbull named Nike, and a handsome orange cat named Strike McShield.

As a child Amy always had a huge love for animals and the desire to care and comfort them.  It was during elementary school and after several trips to Lollypop Farm with her Nana to visit the animals available for adoption that she decided to pursue a career in the veterinary industry.  This was a decision that Amy never wavered from and eventually became a reality in 1999 when she obtained her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Delhi.  Amy began working at Mendon Village Animal Hospital right after graduation as a veterinary technician, later taking on the role as Practice Manager with Kelly.  The quality of care, knowledge and skill set of her team members is what makes Amy most proud to be part of the MVAH family.  Amy and her husband Denny have two incredible children, Marissa and Caleb, they also share their home with a handsome yellow Labrador Retriever named Brady (football fans need not worry, Amy is a Buffalo Bills fan, her dogs name was not chosen for a certain NFL quarterback). Outside of work Amy has an intense love for camping, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending her son’s sporting events and watching her daughter’s creativity flourish with crafts.

From as early as she can recall, Dr. Augustyn has held a special passion for all types of animals and their well-being. Before her first family dog, she would take any opportunity to feed the neighbor’s horses, walk dogs, or pet-sit. During her first job as a local kennel attendant, she was exposed to the medical aspect of animal care and became hooked. She aspired to be involved in fostering and protecting the human-animal bond in all its capacity.

Dr. Augustyn obtained a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology before moving on to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Augustyn has fallen in love with the veterinary profession because of the daily versatility, diagnostic challenges, hands-on learning opportunities, and relationship development it affords. It is her goal to provide the highest quality and compassionate care to each patient while creating a low-stress and fun environment for everyone involved in each visit.

Dr. Augustyn has a special interest in orthopedics and surgery which stems from her background as a college athlete. In addition to the excited greetings from her patients or watching them make a full health recovery, working alongside her talented and caring co-workers bring joy and laughter to each day at the clinic. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Augustyn values spending her time with her parents and three sisters who reside within the Rochester area. She shares her home with a scruffy terrier-mix named Alfred, she adopted during veterinary school. They enjoy adventuring outdoors, hiking, and running together.
