How We Got Started

Mendon Village Animal Hospital has been open for more than 30 years. Dr. Gluckman began practicing veterinary medicine in 1972, and within a few years, he made the decision to start his own animal hospital. Our clients most often hear about us from other satisfied pet owners. In fact, many of our clients go back almost 40 years and are now multigenerational. The entire staff now shares Dr. Gluckman’s vision, and our philosophy of pet care and veterinary medicine is expressed in our Mission Statement.

Quality Care for Pets

Our compassionate veterinarians and support staff are always ready with preventive pet care information that can help you achieve responsible pet ownership. We care for every pet as if he or she were our own. Our staff enjoys working together to give you and your pet the best possible veterinary care experience.

Friendly Enviroment

Caring and compassion for people and their pets will always be a high priority—and making our clients aware of this will be an even higher priority. Our hospital shall be a fun place to be. What is life without moments of joy? This philosophy will benefit both our clients and us. To this regard, a smile will be a mandatory part of the uniform at Mendon Village Animal Hospital.

Qualified Staff

Quite simply, what sets us apart is our qualified staff. You are assured of access to your pet’s veterinarian, receiving calls back when you have questions. Everyone on our staff goes out of their way to lessen stress, pain, and fear for our patients and their families. We take extra time to reassure pets and always treat them, and you, with care and compassion.

What Our Clients are Saying

The team is caring and loving to my pets. I've been bringing my cats and dog here. When my old cats and dog were sick and now passed away, they treated us so well. Now my new kittens are going here.

Jennifer Years

I've been to several vet hospitals and I have chosen to stay with this one because of their knowledge, kind atmosphere and their sincere desire to help our cats. Just a pleasure.

Estelle Goldberg

I love Mendon Village Animal Hospital. I have had all my animals under their care. We have lost two dogs to old age and they were so tender with there last moments of life. We also lost a cat to liver cancer at 14 years of age and they were so good at explaining what our options were. I have another golden retriever and she just loves going to the doctor. All of our animals live very full life's and I feel that it is because of their good care.

Linda Rzatkiewicz

They've never missed anything regarding our dog's health and any major decisions we've made regarding her health result from a conversation- something we all talk about and agreed on. If you want superior care for your pet and a meaningful relationship with their veterinarian this is the place for you. (warning: You might find yourself wishing you primary care physician was so thoughtful)

Stephanie Ashenfelder

As usual, Mendon Village Animal Hospital has been amazing to me and my dogs! One of my dogs has recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Dr. Richenstein has gone over and above my expectations with his kindness and care. One of Tebow’s biopsy sites is not healing for whatever reason, and Dr. Gluckman, and Dr. Williamson have been there for us when it has reopened and I have been in a panic. I know that all of Mendon Village Animal Hospital will be there for us through Tebow’s treatment journey and just knowing that truly helps. Mendon offers such individual care and was exactly what we were looking for when we decided to switch vet practices.
